In May, we started a deep dive into the rubbish and recycling habits of Pōneke 🕵️‍♀️♻️ That meant collecting actual bins from different streets around the city, including Council and private ones and taking them to the Southern Landfill for a good old-fashioned rubbish rummage. Why? To find out how much of what we throw out could have been recycled, composted, or even reused ♻️🍎📦 It’s part of a Solid Waste Assessment Protocol (SWAP) and helps us figure out how Wellington can send less to land
